    HI Curt,
    You may not remember me, but I took lessons from you in or around 1964, before I went to North Texas to become a famous jazz guitarist…. I was playing in a rock band, the Arcades, in El Paso and was a senior at Austin High. I had a blond ES175 and my guitar was much better than I and still is, but I have such fond memories of your expertise and friendship. I am happy that you found success at UTEP and have been able to share you wisdom in artistry with many. As I remember, you were headed to Vegas to play, but obviously, if you did you came back and El Paso is that much better for your decision. I will look for some of your recording. I just bought a poor DVD Jazz instruction set and I was telling my wife about the guy that was a great teacher back in El Paso… and thanks to the internet, here you are.
    Well Done on being able to stay with your craft and do so well!
